Three ways to color existing concrete
Acid stains chemically react with the lime and minerals in cured concrete to create rich, mottled, marbled tones. They look natural and they're truly permanent — they're part of the concrete now, not on top of it.
Water-based stains and dyes deposit pigment more uniformly. They give you predictable color, brighter shades, and a wider palette than acid stains can produce.
- Acid stain — earthy, variegated, permanent
- Water-based stain — uniform, broad palette
- Concrete dye — vibrant, fast-drying, ideal for interiors
- Tinted sealer overlay — refresh existing color quickly
